Little Hearo’s Story
Our Little Hearo’s journey started when he was just six months old. We received his diagnosis at 9 months old and we started with HA’s.
Diagnosis – Severely to profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss with Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder. Blayne was fitted with HA’s and we underwent the screening process for Cochlear Implants as HA’s did not give him any access to sound.
He was implanted a week after his first birthday and received his amazing ‘superhearo ears’ on the 3rd of June when he got switched on.
We have had such an amazing rollercoaster journey thus far which included Blayne not enjoying the feeling of his processors on his ears.
I was on the hunt for the perfect headband that would allow him the freedom of movement, minimize his coil off’s, and lessen the stress of pulling them off.
We finally found something that worked and since then Blayne LOVES wearing his headbands and the fun of customizing his own headbands according to his likes.
